Pumping Station, Scienceworks

Filming and photography

Extraordinary spaces to film iconic moments. Capturing the perfect scene, Museum Spaces offers four unique locations across Melbourne.

Scienceworks: Skyline city views, copious land and the signatures of Victoria’s industrial revolution – the Pumping Station has been recognised as a setting in the original Mad Max film, and more recently in the beloved Australian television series, Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries.

Melbourne Museum: Iconic and postmodern with a vast exterior and unique galleries showcasing the history and culture of Melbourne, along with natural surroundings, providing unique backdrops.

Immigration Museum: Based in the CBD of Melbourne, the Old Customs House is one of the most significant sites in Victoria’s history as it was the hub of commerce, trade and migration, and a fine example of Victorian architecture.

Royal Exhibition Building: World Heritage Listed and built in 1880, the historical and cultural significance that you can see and feel lends itself useful for all kinds of visual projects.
